Here is some important information about upcoming events for the FT 5th and 6th Grade Bands.
BIG SPRING BAND CONCERT – Tues. March 26, 2013 at 7pm in the HS Auditorium.
- Attendance is mandatory for all Band students (both 5th and 6th Grade).
- Students are to wear their blue FT band T shirt and BLACK pants (girls may wear skirt or capris).
- Parents and family are highly encouraged to attend. You won’t want to miss this evening of great music by our students. They have practiced hard and will “blow” you away with their music!
Special After School Practices for the Spring Concert
5th Grade Band
- Thur. March 21, 2013, 2:35-4:00pm, F.T.Gym
- Mon. March 25, 2013, 2:35-4:00pm, F.T. Gym
6th Grade Band
- Fri. March 22, 2013, 2:35-4:00pm, F.T. Bandroom
- Mon. March 25, 2013, 2:35-4:00pm, F.T. Bandroom

Please plan to pick up your son or daughter at the conclusion of the practice in front of the FT bldg.
6th GRADE BAND ONLY (Additional Event)
Thur. March 14, 2013 – performance with the 7th Grade Band at the Jr. Hi Concert
- Report to the HS band room at 6:30pm. Concert begins at 7:00pm in the HS Auditorium.
- Wear FT Band T shirt and black pants. Bring your instrument and music from FT to HS.
- Please plan to stay for at least the first half of the concert (7th grade band). 8th gr. band performs also on this concert.
Band T-shirts
Band T shirts have been ordered and should arrive by March 20. They will be distributed to the students at school. Please have a pair of black pants for your son or daughter to wear with the T shirt for the concert. Girls may wear a skirt if desired.
Looking ahead
The Chicken Barbecue Concert is Sat. May 18, 2013 5th grade plays at 6pm, 6th grade plays at 5pm. Performances are 30 minutes long at the HS Main Gym.
