We are planning a joint bowling trip with the 6th grade and 7th grade bands together!

This fun event will be Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 from 2:40-6:30. We will practice with the two bands for an hour and then board busses for the Southwyck bowling lanes. We will have two hours at the lanes and then return by bus to the H.S. We will be back around 6:30pm. The cost is $5 for each student.

Tonight’s concert has been cancelled due to the weather.  All activities at the high school are cancelled after 5:00pm.  We invite you to come and hear the bands at Sylvania Southview on March 8th for the OMEA District Adjudicated Event.

Open to Grades K-8.  Please bring your own baton and wear tennis shoes.

Please join us all day Thursday, March 7th at the Maumee location of Bob Evans. The band programs will receive 15% of sales if you present the attached flyer (PDF) upon paying your bill.

6th graders should wear their FT Band T shirt and black pants. Bring your instrument and music from FT to HS. Please plan to stay for at least the first half of the concert (7th grade band). 8th grade band performs also at this concert: you may want to just stay for the whole thing.

Fallen Timbers Spring Band Concert, AWHS Auditorium. 7pm start time.

• Students should report to the HS (band room) at 6:40pm.
• Attendance is mandatory for all Band students (both 5th and 6th Grade).
• Students are to wear their blue FT band T shirt and BLACK pants (girls may wear skirt or capris).
• Parents and family are highly encouraged to attend. You won’t want to miss this evening of great music by our students. They have practiced hard and will “blow” you away with their music!

Please help the band boosters earn funds for the AW bands by joining us at Village Pizza Factory on Tuesday, April 9th.  The event is all day from 11am to 9pm.

State Large Group Adjudicated Event will be on Friday, April 26. Symphonic Band will perform @ 7:15 and Symphonic Winds will perform at 9:30. Performances will be at Findlay High School.

Symphonic Band

The General’s Staff Jazz Band will travel to Columbus to play in the lobby of the Senate Office building at 11:30am. We will leave school at 8am and return around 5pm.

6th grade band performs for 4th graders (Demo Concert), Monday, May 6th at 9:00am.

• This concert is in the HS auditorium and students will need their blue band T shirt and black pants.
• This concert is during school.
• Brass and Perc. students will need to remember to bring their instr. and music with them to school on that day. Woodwinds should already have their instr. and music for Monday class.

We will have a Spring Recital on Wed. May 15th at FT (in the bandroom) for those students who take private lessons.

• This event is only for those students who take private lessons.
• Parents and family are invited at 7pm to our band room for this event. Refreshments are served afterwards.

Note: not at the same time as the Art Show this time. All of the bands perform and chicken is eaten! Family and friends are invited.
