End of year news for FT bands

Here are some end of the year items:

Band Awards Night, Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 6:30pm in the FT Cafeteria

• Families are asked to bring a dessert to share (serve 10-12)  on a disposable plate.
• All students (5th and 6th grade) will receive their award for completing the year with the band
• Parents and family are cordially invited.  We will finish by 7:45.
• Attendance is highly encouraged but not required.  No instruments needed. Dress is casual.

Band classes run at school to the end of the year.  Instruments must go home for the summer on May 30th or 31st (or earlier in some cases).   Students will not need instruments for band on the last two days.  Band class will consist of reviewing the year and watching the April 3 concert on video.

Best wishes to our 6th graders as they move on up to the Jr. Hi.   And,….I look forward to seeing the 5th graders back next year at FT for some exciting music with our sixth grade programs.
